Troop Cody Garrett is finally here! He was born on July 30th (a day before his due date). Weighing in at a whopping 5 lbs. 15 oz. and 17 1/2 inches long.
I went into labor at5:30 pm. My contractions started out 10 minutes apart and at about 7:30 they were about every 4 min. I realized I was definitely in labor and started getting everything packed. This labor progressed much quicker than Zanna. I was not prepared for this. I thought I would have at least 5 hours at home laboring... but no. We arrived at the hospital at 8:25 and I was dilated to a 7. Once again I had back labor and Jathan was so great at helping relieve the pressure on my back through each contraction. After getting set up to the monitor and making sure the baby was doing well ( which seemed to take forever)I got in the tub for about a half hour and was dilated to a 9. After that everything happened really quickly. I did not even have time to get my gown back on before it was time to push. One big push later (no exaggeration) Troop was born. He arrived at 9:47 pm, just an hour and 22 minutes after we arrived. Everything went really well! It was all really intense but everything went smoothly! I can't believe he is here!

Are you KIDDING ME? Why can't my labors be that short? Really, though, I am so happy for you, and glad that it went well! (And I'm sure it really didn't feel that short in the moment!)
Troop is so beautiful, as I knew he would be. He is SO tiny! And I love his little crack for a bum! That's pretty much how Quincy was as a newborn...and still! (:
How is Zanna's hair so perfect? Ususally nobody but the mom can make it look that good. You are really my hero if you managed to do that right after having had your little baby boy!
I want to see you. Maybe I can zip on up to the cabin for a day...It would be fun!
AWWW! He is so tiny...I think that my little guy already has a pound or two on him and he's not even here yet! You guys are a beautiful family!
Oh, he is so cute and tiny! I'm glad you didn't have to get induced and that everything wend smoothly and there weren't any problems for being small. He has so much hair! He's adorable. I love all the photos, especially those your friend took. That would be really hard not having Zanna with you. But it would probably be really hard having her home, too, huh? Are you still going to join them later this week?
Oh Merm...he is beautiful!!! And are you serious that you look that cute after just giving birth? Congrats, little boys are the best:)

OH my goodness, Marianne! He is a doll. Congratulations! Isn't it so weird to have two after just having one? You guys are such a cute little family. He is so tiny!! Did you hear my little boy was 10' 7"?!?!?!? How does that happen? He has really thinned out now though. Yours will do the opposite and chunk up! Congrats again! Love, Soosie
p.s. I also have one of those cute blankets your mom made me. That was the sweetest thing ever. Tell her thank you for me! Go see my little boy on my blog!
