Baby Shower

Jathan and I flew home to Utah for Kotah's farewell, while in Utah I was able to go to Gretchen's baby shower. It was so fun to get together with all my sisters, cousins and friends. Everyone was so thoughtful and sweet and that little child of her's will be one dressed man! Carolynn made a darling little cowboy blankie and people took turns tying it at the shower. I am prety sure Carolynn tied most of it though as we all chatted it up! I did not take that great of pictures, most of them are of Zanna playing around. Go figure!

Specialized

Jathan and I went biking through some cute little towns near us. It was a fun little outing except for the crazy heat! The weather here is generally pretty nice and rarely gets into the 90's, but man when it does I would rather be at home in our FREEZING pool. I was a little paranoid towards the end of the ride and thought Zanna was going to get heat stroke or get dehydrated. So I made Jathan turn us around and head back home.

On our way home we saw a momma dear and like four babies. They were so cute. I could only get a picture of one of them.

Into Everything

Zanna is getting into EVERYTHING! One of her new favorite things is to open all the kitchen cupboards and drawers and pull everything out. Once one drawer is emptied she moves on to the next. There are also a few shots of her trying to help me cut fabric. She was grabbing my cutting ruler, and trying to get my cutting blade... scary, rolling all over in my fabric and on my rotary board! She has to be right where I am, doing just what I am doing.

Some other things she has picked up the past month or so is clapping. She loves to clap. Especially when she is eating. I wonder if she thinks she is telling us to give her more food. Jathan taught her to pat her hand on her mouth and make the famous indian sound. Ha ay ay ay ay. So cute! I need to get it on video!

Puppy Love

I know I have posted many pictures of Zanna and her love Mason, but they are just too cute. She just loves this dog so much and he is such a gem for putting up with her. She is constantly crawling on him and patting him on the back or pulling at his tail. She gets a little of her own medicine from him as well. When she crawls anywhere near his face he licks and licks her.
The other day Jathan and I went out to play Frisbee and we set Zanna on the grass next to Mason. She pulled herself up by his collar and stood there holding onto him while he sat looking over her. It was so darling. He looked like her protector. I wish I would have had my camera with me.

Yep she found his ear and you can bet she stuck it in her mouth. That was pretty funny.

Her face in this picture kills me! She is so funny.

Yep there it goes in her mouth!

(Don't mind the Jathan's blanket in the background. We don't look white trash at all right??)

Cute crack!

Why is it so cute when you see babies cracks, and not like... my crack?? Ha ha! These pictures are too cute. She was wiggling when I was putting her diaper on and as you can see it is a little loose! The top picture cracks me up! Her crack and her big cheesy grin. What a cute combo.

Another crack shot. I was trying to get a diaper on her after her bath but she crawled away to her favorite place, the stairs, before I could pin her down. She is quick little stinker. I love that little body so SO much!!

An Afternoon Stroll

As I have said before there is an awesome path by our appartment we frequent on the bikes or on foot. Zanna is usually a good sport about being in the chariot. Some days she likes it and other days she does not want to be restrained.

When we go walking or jogging Mason always comes along. Poor dog has arthritus and by the end of the outing he is spent. He has been such a great dog. He is so sweet and has been a great little companion. It has been nice having him here with us. It always makes me feel a little more safe when I have a dog with me, especially in a new area.

THe high chair

I love getting pictures of Zanna in her high chair. She just looks so cute sitting there with food all over her face. She was a little late getting on the eating wagon. She has been eating solids for a little over a month now. I would give them to her every now and then before that but she just wasn't too interested. Now she wants to eat EVERYTHING! She loves having food in that sweet little mouth! She is still not taking a bottle or a sippy. I produce most of what this little lady eats and I am just fine with that! Although it would be convenient to give her a bottle every now and then.

Los Gatos

I called my dad on my way to Capitola beach to ask him if he had ever been there. He let me know he spent many a day as a young man on Capiotla Beach. He gave me the address to the house he lived at when they lived in Northern Cali so Jathan and I drove past to check it out. As you can see it is in great condition. Dad, Lisa, Brett, Aunt Adie or Gramps and Grams you will have to let me know if it looks like it did when you lived there. It was so fun to go past this house and imagine my Grandma and Grandpa raising their children and living part of their lives here.

Capitola Beach

We went to Capitola beach with Eric , Marisa and their three little girls (Eric recruited Jathan to work for Hensel Phelps). We had such a great time. The weather was a little chilly but other than that it was great. I can't believe I did not get a picture of Eric & Marisa. Their little girls are so cute and so funny! It was so fun to talk to little kids again and made me miss my neices and nephiews! They told me about how many donuts they can eat and who was oldest and youngest in their family and how one had a cow bone! So random and so funny. I loved it.

Zanna was having fun playing with the toy shovel and rake in the sand. The sand did not bother her as much as it did the first time we went to the beach. We got her little feeties wet in the water but that was about it as far as swimming went!

Day 4 in San Fran

Ghiradelli Square was a sweet treat! SO much chocolate everywhere. There was a super cute cupcake shop too. I did not endulge but next time I am there you can bet your booty I will.

How cute is my sweet little Hannah?? She is getting so grown up. It is crazy! She is almost a teenager.

The famous Lombard street. This street is CRAZY! It is so steep and windy and beautiful. There are Hydrangeas growing all along the sides of it. Luckily Melissa had been there before and showed us where it was at because it was sweet!

They left the next morning at about seven. It was so sad to see them go. We had so much fun and there was never a dull moment. The second they drove away I felt so lonely and wanted to cry. I know I am a baby. I can't help it, I just love them! I was okay once Jathan got home ;) They left before Zanna woke up for the day, so when she did wake up and I brought her down the stairs she looked all around so confued. She could not fugure out where they went. It was pretty cute!

Day 3 Santa Cruz

We had a blast in Santa Cruz. It was such a fun city! We hit up some of the shops and the boardwalk and of course the beach! My dad lived in Los Gatos (near Santa Cruz) for a while growing up and it was really fun to see where he spent many of his days. Looking back on these pictures I realize I have a very one track mind... Zanna. Almost all of my pictures are of Zanna. I only got one picture of my beautiful mom and it is of her back side... which my dad will enjoy no doubt!

The picture of zanna wearing the hat is so cute! She looks like a little munchkin!
Hannah was loving the water! She was so cute just a splashing and playing. Poor girl played alone most of the time... her somewhat boring older sisters liked to lay out mostly!

I love this shot. They both look so cute hanging out under the umbrella.

Walking down the Pier. I was amazed gretchen did not just die from all of the walking we did. She was a trooper. If I would have been prego I would have just chilled on a bench somewhere ;)

Sorry mom! This is the only picture I got of you... but you sure are looking good! And cute preggers gretchy made a hole in the sand to put her belly into.
Oh Hannah! I love you!

A day at the beach wore Zanna right out. She was playing by the water with Mikelle and fell asleep on her chest.
Zanna was so funny to watch in the sand. She did not like the feeling of it on her hands at first so she was pretty good about staying on the towel.
