Sunday at GGGG's!

GGGG= Great Grandma and Grandpa Garrett.

Cute little Sunday outfit. Grandpa Garrett gave her the cute little cowboy boots and Carolynn bought the tights for Bergen but bought them too small. Lucky for me, I reaped the benefits! My mom made her the brown and pink blanket and Melissa gave her the shirt and skirt. I love that I did not buy one part of this outfit. Family is SO GREAT!

Zanna with her cousin Jaden (Aaron's little boy). There is a definite Garrett stamp here.

The Projects

Here are a few pictures of fun projects I have been doing. All of the sewing projects were inspired by my sister Carolynn. She has such fun ideas and lucky for me she does not mind when I copy her (I think anyway :) Between Carolynn and my mom helping me out I am able to get them done. Hopefully one of these days I will be able to do a sewing project on my own!
This is the blanket I made for Zannas crib. I still need to make the skirt and bumper pads.
A closer look!
This is the blanket I made Jathan for christmas. He is rather fond of skulls and crossbones so I thought it might be fun to make him a skull and crossbone blanket. I know it is a little evil looking but I have gotten over that! Oh and Jathan LOVED it and gets really posessive of it when I try to cuddle up in it! So funny!

Some fun frames... Paper projects. I am proud to say I did these all by myself! :)
Carolynn has the cutest apron pattern she let me borrow. Cade got a picture of both of us in our aprons but all my pics were really fuzzy. You need to check out Carolynns blog and see the one she made! SO CUTE!~

I like to move it, move it

Little Zanna thinks her Auntie Hannah is sooo funny! They were sitting on Hannah's bed hanging out and Hannah was singing the theme song to Madagascar ( I like to move it, move it) to her. She thought it was the funniest thing she had ever seen. She is getting so big. She sprouted two teeth on me the past few weeks and is almost sitting up. I will post pics of her teeth and her new skilz soon!

My OBSESSION with the timer.

I have a recent obsession of timing things. I find it a lot easier to start a job I do not want to do if I set the timer for an alloted amount of time and see if I can get it done in that allotment or before. Such as cleaning the bathroom closet or the refidgerator or organizing other parts of the home that get a little out of hand :) But it does not stop there... oh no. I will set the timer for five minutes and see how many clothes I can fold when doing laundry. I will see if I can make the bed in two minutes. The thing I do most often is I will set the timer for 10 minutes in each room of the house. Once the timer goes off I leave that room and go to the next. If I get done before the 10 minutes is up then I have to figure out what can be organized in that room. Then once I have spent 10 minutes in each room I am done and can move onto other projects!
I believe this timing business stems from my mother always setting a timer for me to get my room done when I was a little girl. Oh the funny ways we are molded from child hood experiences. So yes I am obsessed... weird... definitely!
*I do have a timer that looks just like the one in the picture... and I love it. It goes into every chore with me :)

Happy Birthday to my beautiful Mother!

I just wanted to wish my mother a happy birthday and thank her for the amazing woman she is. She has sacrificed so much for her famiy and is such a selfless person. I am greatful for her passion in learning about health, wellness and exercise and teaching her children about these things. She is so full of life and energy and is still so adventurous. She is a great gardner, seamstress, horse back rider, skiier, rollerblader, dancer, scubadiver, biker and so many other things. I am greatful for the relationship that we have and for her love for all of her children, her husband and the gospel. She is a great example to me and is my role model for motherhood and many other things! I love ya momma!

Happy Valentines Day!

I just wanted to wish my Valentine a Hapy Day! You are such an amazing man. No one has ever made me laugh so hard or made me quite as angry :) Thank you for all the sacrifices you make for Zanna and me! I love you babe!
This is a picture of Jathan and me when we were dating. I curled my hair with egg whites and sugar... then Jathan asked if I could do it to his hair too! This is one of the many reasons why I love this man. He keeps my life interesting!~
My big bad indian love. I love this picture of him!

The HoHum...

So this little seat is called a BumBo... I could not remember the name of it so I called Jaclynn and asked her where she bought her HoHum. She about died laughing. Now the seat is referred to as the HoHum in our household. Anyhow... Zanna loves it!

The Garrett Residence

This is a pic of Jathan's parents house Sunday evening. Check out the walkway to their home. The snow was taller than my 5' 3" bod!

Snowy Daze

Sunday we got SO MUCH SNOW! We bundled Zanna up and went out to play. She looks so cute with her handsome daddy. Jared and Amanda got her the cute beanie and gloves and Joshua and Melissa got her the cute little snow suit. The poor kid could hardly see through all her bundles!
Church was canceled because of the large load of snow... that was kinda fun. So we went to Grandma and Grandpa Garrett’s. We thought PG got a lot of snow... Alpine got much more. It was so fun. It reminded me of winters when I was just a little tyke.
Ralph looks so stinkin cute out snow blowing in his snow clothes. Beanie, silk scarf and rubber boots. What a man.

Comfy?

These pictures crack me up! I had gotten Zanna all ready to go and set her on the couch to grab a few things before we headed out. When I came back in the living room a few minutes later she was out! Ha ha... so cute! She does not look too comfy.

The Hospital

Well I finally got the pics from my parents of the hospital after Zanna's Birth. Wow what an amazing day. I went into labor at 2:46 in the morning on Friday September 21st. We went to the hospital at around 7:30 and walked the halls through my contractions for a few hours. I had some intense back labor so my sweet husband would push on my back as hard as he could through each contraction. She was born at 12:03 pm, weighing in at 6lbs 13 oz and was 18 inches long. It was such a special time and I have never felt quite so close to heaven as I did that day!

Six weeks old

Zanna was given a beautiful Pendleton blanket from Jathan's uncle Julius. I just love this blanket and all the beautiful colors. Thanks Jules!

Oh... Jathans many looks!

Jathan has had so many looks since we have been married. It is fair to say some have definitely been better than others. You can also see from these pictures he does not always like to smile for the camera. In fact it is very rare to see him smile for the camera. Bless his heart!
