Oh my little Zanna... how she is changing and growing! I love this little girl so much and love watching her learn and grow.
How funny is this picture?? She has been sleeping in a port-a-crib ever since we have been in California. The other night I put her down to bed.... she was not having it. She made all sorts of noises and pushed herself up against the crib netting in an attemp to get out. Luckily I had my camera close by becasue this picture is priceless! I die laughing everytime I see it! (I put her to bed in her diaper because it was SO hot here for a few days and we do not have AC. We have since purchased fans so I can fully cloth my baby again!)
She is such a little busy body. She is into everything! Jathan was organizing all of his reloading things and we could not keep her away! She wanted to be right there helping... or hindering :) I should have taken a picture of her when she was through with this puppy. There were boxes of bulletts and other little gadgets all over the livingroom and Jathan had to organize all over again.
Zanna learned to crawl the first week we were here and is now a pro. She is cruising all over the place. Within a week of her crawling she started to stand up to things. It shocked me the first time. While I was doing dishes I set her next to the bike because she likes to play with the bike peddel. I looked over to check on her and to my surprise she had pulled herself up to the bike (luckily she did not pull it down on top of her). Since then she is pulling herself up to EVERYThING and is starting to master getting back down.
Yes, she still adores Mason. She just loves him to death. She smiles so big everytime she sees him. She has started standing up to him as well. Sweet dog just sits there and lets her play all over him.
Zanna crawls to this screen door countless times a day because she can see Mason on the back porch. (she is standing up to the screen door as well).
Another new favorite place Zanna likes to hang out. She figured out how to crawl up under our TV stand and makes a big ol' mess of the DVD's. Sometimes she can get back out but usually needs our help. In the top pictures she is getting a little upset because she is stuck and wants out.
My little sweet heart! You can see her bottom two teeth in this picture. She now has three up top and another one just broke through the gums.... wow! (ha ha.. I made her the shirt she is wearing last night and it turned out a little bit dorky. I am going to have to do some major reconstructive surgery on it today!)

WHERE OH WHERE HAS MY LITTLE MERM GONE, OH WHERE OH WHERE COULD SHE BE? hey you little sucker, i miss you just because I know that i can't play with you anymore. we didn't find much time for one another before this however it is still effecting me. I no longer can wake up early, i drag myself around my house wearing old christmas pj's, and i only eat top roman. I do all of these things with thoughts of you drifting in and out of my mind. I am so SAD!
Actually we are packing up the house and it SUCKS. we are moving in with ol scott and cheryl tomorrow. ("hooray" says a group of small children in a flat low monotone voice)
I will come see you and jathan and the little squirt. that top picture of her seriously looks AMAZING. she looks like a little cartoon character.
I love the picture of her smashed up face! I can't believe how fast little girls grow. And once they're mobile, it seems as though you can't keep them away from anything! Great photos of your little doll!
As soon as I pulled up your blog and saw that picture of Zana I couldn't stop laughing!!!! It is soooo adorable! I'm glad that you have something to help cool you down, not having AC is hard. Sad you guys are so far away. And I think the shirt turned out cute :)
Wow! It sounds like she is doing so good! She's sure a cutie! Looks like she has a mouthful of teeth like Eden. Hope you're enjoying CA.
Ahaha! That is such a funny picture! I love the whole post. It would make a great journal entry! Yes, Katelynn is learning to stand up to things as well. Every once in a while, when I put her down for a nap, I can hear her start to fuss, and then it gets more and more like she's panicing, so I go check on her, and she's standing up to the side, and can't get down. SO funny!
Marianne you are in serious trouble, you are not supposed to let her change until you get back and she is already growing up! Thanks for keeping us updated. These pictures of Zanna are so cute. Take more pictures of your apartment and where you live so I can visualize you better in your surroundings:)
So it seems that you are getting along in Cali just fine!! I am so excited for you to have a grand adventure. Your daughter is the cutest thing and believe when I say that I show her off to everybody... Tell Jathan hi!!! I miss his visits! Mermaid! Come back to Bunco it is just not the same with out you!!!
Hey Merm! i love looking at zanna on your blog. she is so adorable. jason and i laughed so hard at the picture of her in the crib. that was funny. are you guys loving california? jason and i want to go to the red woods this summer. you guys should come with us! that would be awesome if you came to az. we are going to go to utah sometime, just not sure when...
Merm, she kills me! She is so adorable. I love the first picture too...you had me cracking up! And I can't believe she's really Cora's age. She is developing so much faster, with her crawling, teeth, etc. And I love the shirt you made! Who knew...you get married, have a mom, and become a cute little homemaker! Too bad that hasn't happened to me yet. I feel proud of myself if I actually get dinner on the table at night!

Oh so sweet I love her she is way more advanced than Kai and he is older than her by a month he doesn't even crawl yet! I love that she has that big dog to play with and that she loves him. She is soo cute and by the way you are very domestic I want to make clothes for Kai but I think girl stuff homemade is probably cheaper huh. Well good luck in Cali. I almost forgot are you close to Lauren?
I meant cuter not cheaper LOL girls clothes are cuter when homemade unless I learned how to make button up shirts for boys I don't think there is a whole lot to make for him. :)
What you sew?? You can make such things as clothing? I never knew you had this in you. I am very envious. I go to Russ for sewing projects. He is quite the seamstress on tacking those buttons back for me. Sweet...Sweet..Zanna. I know you already have an arranged marriage with Jude but how does Zanna feel about older men?? Boston is shooting 3 next month. I am sure he will be interested soon :) Plus, here in St. George Paligamy is normal :)!!!! Ha..Ha..
That picture is hysterical! She is getting so big! Too dang cute. I would love to see you drive that big truck (stick none the less) up some of the steep, narrow roads in S.F.!
Merm I simply love these pictures. I can't believe how big she is getting and you've only been gone a few weeks. Make her stop till you get back. But at least you are posting all of these pictures so we can enjoy her growing with you..

How's California? We miss you guys! We had Mother's Day dinner at your parent's house and it was strange not to see you there.
Zanna is perfect in every way! I don't think they come any cuter. We will be at the Latimer cabin the same week your family is at the Thompson cabin (July 14-20). Hope to see you there! We'll have Steve and Hannah Cutler with us that week too.

Zanna is the cutest! I love seeing her with your dog; I can't wait until Sam is old enough to keep Moxie (our dog) busy! You know what's funny? I think I dressed Moxie in the same costume you put Zanna in, in that 2007 picture on your side bar. I think there's a picture of Mox in the very same outfit in one of our first blog posts...
I love that you make clothes for Zanna. How do you ever find the time? I consider it an accomplishment when I make time to take a shower!
Thanks for the instructions on making those hair clippies. I've made a few of them and I love them. . .gotta make more. And yes, I did make that yellow one she's wearing in the pics on our blog.
