Day 2 Napa Valley

Napa Valley was BEAUTIFUL! The vineyards were breathtaking and the homes that were on the vineyards were amazing. When we set off to go to Napa we had no idea what we were going to do because we are not much for drinking wine... as we do not drink, and that is obviously a huge part of the attraction of Napa. So the trip started out a little interesting. We stopped in downtown Napa and my mom talked to some people she found out where we needed to go. Then the trip was great! I am so mad though because I left my camera at home on the charger, so I just copied some pics from Gretchen and Melissa's blog.

This vineyard we stopped at was so cool. It had the most fabulous gift shop with fun kitchen accessories and the most amazingly scrumptious dipping sauces, cheeses, jam's, chocolate, flavored vinaigrette's, the list goes on. My mom bought me a fun cheese cutting set and cutting board for entertaining. It is so cool! There was also a cute little park with benches and lush green grass everywhere. I could have spent hours and hours here!

A visit from the Latimer Ladies Day 1

My Mom, Melissa, Gretchen, Mikelle & Hannah all came to visit me for a week! They brought their sleeping bags and air mattresses and slept in our second bedroom. Every night was a slumber party! Except that we were totally exhausted by the days events we pretty much crashed when we got home.We had SO much fun and Zanna was totally spoiled with love and entertainment from her aunties and grandma.
I wish Carolynn and Amanda could have come, WE MISSED YOU TWO!
The first day we hung out at my pool for a few hours then went to Sausalito and looked through the fun shops. After Sausalito we drove over the Golden Gait Bridge!

Thank heavens for the pack'n play. The water is super cold in the pool which does not go over so well with Zanna, so she just chilled in her little play pen and played with her toys.

The fabulous hat Melissa bought! I LOVE IT!
The super cute Apron I wanted to buy but sadly did not. Luckily I live about 5 minutes away... I will return for it one of these days!
She looks thrilled to death in this picture.

I will have to get some pictures of all of the beautiful homes of Sausalito. Flowers and Ivy grow up the walls and fences. Everything is just so picturesque.

Some shots of the Golden Gait Bridge.

Oh crazy Mikelle. If you ever leave your camera with Mikelle you are sure to have a few shots such as the above photo, left as a little present for you!

Jathan's new do!

Jathan got sick of his shaggy locks and decided to go with something really low maintenance... the buzz! I must say he is looking mighty fine. And check out how thin! He has lost so much weight! I am so proud of him. Now hopefully he will not get anymore broken bones so he can continue to enjoy being active!

Oh so serious... once again looking hot in the man truck....and no post is final without a picture of my sweet little munchkin!

Memorial Weekend

Jathan had half of Friday and Monday off for Memorial Day Weekend. Our new friends Adam and Joey (yay for friends) called us on Saturday and invited us to go to Muir Woods and to Stinson Beach. We had a great time! Muir Woods is absolutely beautiful, filled with redwoods and other amazing trees and plants. Everything was so green. There was moss and ferns growing everywhere. It looked like something straight out of a fairy tale. I half expected a cute little fairy to fly past us. Have any of you seen the Gnome-mobile? It reminded me of that as well.

Adam and Joey are from Utah as well. Adam was in the Construction Management program and got a job with Hensel Phelps (the company Jathan is working). They are also in our ward. The super crazy thing is that Adam served a mission in Charlotte North Carolina, the same place Jathan served. He got there shortly after Jathan left but they know a ton of the same people. Samll world!

Jathans new favorite little friend... the caterpillar. He was intrigued by this little bug and made me take a picture. He reminds me of a little kid, sometimes I feel like I am raising two... ha ha!

This is the only picture of Stinson Beach I took. It would have been fun to go on a sunny day, but WOW, it looked so beautiful with the overcast sky. We did not stay too long at the beach because Zanna was asleep. It will be fun to go back and watch Zanna play in the sand.

The A's Game

The other day Jathan's work took us to an Oakland A's game. It was so fun! We had box seats with all the hot dog's, hamburgers and Beer (we wished it was root beer) you can handle. (I know these are basically the same outfits we were wearing in San Fran... we do wear other clothes though!)

What is with my child and smashing her face into things? Jathan was laughing so hard when he was taking these pictures. He could hardly contain himself!

Zanna Chillin with her daddy.

Biking among the Jasmine

We just discovered this beautiful bike trail by our house the other day. It goes past the Ferry, over a bridge, follows a canal that cute little duckies swim on and almost the whole trail is lined with jasmine! Not only is it beautiful but smells so fabulous. Jathan pulled the chariot with the babe. I was so impressed with his skills, he was pulling Zanna and I still had a hard time keeping up with him. We just figured out that the shocks on the chariot are set for a 75 lbs... Zanna only weighs maybe 20lbs. Poor girl was bouncing everywhere. Jathan has since fixed that.

San Fran

The Saturday before Mothers Day we took a little day trip to San Francisco. We decided to take the Ferry which is about a five minute walk from our house. I love that we didn't have to drive at all to get there!

This is a picture of the San Quentin prison. The company that Jathan is interning for right now is putting in a health facility for the prison so this is where he resides for part of his days.

There were tons of vendors selling all sorts of Artsy things. Jathan bought me this sweet hat for mothers day. The woman who made it makes her hats from vintage 60's 70's and 80's materials. She was so talented and I wanted to buy like twelve of her hats!

These two cuties were standing in front of a pirate ship. Zanna's head is covering the pirate flag... oops!

(Modeling my sweet new hat) We walked to Fisherman's Wharf and got some scrumptious clam chowder. There were all sorts of interesting people there. It was really fun to people watch. There were also lots of people doing all sorts of random talents all along the piers. Singing, drawing, break dancing, balloon tying... the list goes on.

There were pigeons walking about all over the place, which of course Zanna was loving. She would bend over the side of her stroller and just stare. Jathan n the other hand was struggling with the Pigeons. He stepped on one on accident and ran over another two with the stroller. Bless his heart!
