Braids

I can't believe her hair is long enough for braids! She is growing way too fast. How cute are these little braids on her?

The Shearing of the Goat!

Jathan and I got an angora goat last fall. Her name is Gracie Lou. We decided to sell her but the poor thing needed a shearing in the worst way and we thought we would be kind and do it before we sold her. We were very new to shearing so it was quite the project. Jathan's uncle Julius had some super old hand held shears so we attempted to use them. After an hour and only doing part of her belly we gave up on them. My little sister Gretchen use to be a dog groomer and my dad gave me the fabulous idea of using her hard core electrical trimmers. Oh the difference that made! Jathan had her done in no time!

Before
After
She looks like she lost about a hundred pounds. We had no idea how tiny she was under all that hair. Notice the little cut she got on her leg when we were using the hand held shearers. Poor little girl. Luckily it was not a big cut but still made us feel bad!

Rainy Days

Zanna enjoying her rain boots and rain coat. Jumping through puddles and standing under rain gutters!

My Little Zanna

Here are a few random photos of my little darling. She is getting so big! It is just so crazy. She is not my little baby anymore :( She has been so much fun. She is currently copying everything we say and do. I just love watching her. It is fun to see her figure things out. It cracks me up how coordinated she is. She has been jumping on my mom's trampoline (when there is good weather) for the past month or so. She jumps and jumps and jumps! She also loves going down things head first. Such as the stairs or when she is getting off the couch she lowers her head down to the ground and then does a little peanut roll off. Her other favorite thing to do is skip, or as we call it trot!

I could just die over these pictures. She looks so cute as a little bunny!

I have been playing around with the curling iron and Zanna's hair. She looks so darling with it all curly like. I wish she still had her natural curl she was born with... oh well. I am just glad I have such things as curling irons so I can play!

A few cute ones of her hair.

This one kills me. Her daddy was teasing her in the background! That is why she has such a huge grin on her face.
Beautiful Bed Head!
The Rain Boots. She just loves these things! And they have come in handy with all the wet weather we have been having.
OH those little legs are so cute. I could just gobble them all up! :)

This is the little blankie I made Zanna about a month ago. She LOVES it. She has to snuggle with it every morning after she wakes up and after every nap. The other morning after she woke up I ran the bath for her and she would not get in without her blankie! She was so upset when I took it away from her. That bath lasted about two minutes and I learned never to put her in the bath tub before she has had time to snuggle!

Henry Mountains

Last weekend we went camping with Brad and Rebecca Roberts and their little girls. It was so fun to get out of town and play. Well the boys did most of the playing... we did most of the cooking, cleaning and watching kiddos... but it was still really fun! We brought the horse trailer and the horses and Brad & Reba brought the four wheelers. It was Zanna's first camp out and she LOVED it!! She almost gave Jathan and I a heart attack however. She is FEARLESS. We had the horses tied up outside of camp and she made her way to them at least ten times a day. We had to watch her like a hawk. Jathan looked up at her right as she was getting to the horses and she walked right under Ruby's belly!!!! AHHHH!!! That child, that child!

Jathan and Brad went on daily rides to try to scout out buffalo and find sheds... sadly they never came home with storries of buffalo and they did not find any sheds either... sorry guys!! Next time!!

Brad and Rebeccas camper trailer. This is where we cooked all of our meals and fed the chillins.

Zanna loving the dirt and her bottle.

Andelyn loving the dirt even more!! She is the funniest little girl! I am pretty sure she went through half of her clothing the very first day we were there. I love how it looks like she is wearing lipstick. SO funny!!

Riding the fourwheelers to the caves. My legs are whitesome and delightsome! Can't wait for the sun to come out again and sun bathe my body!

These two little girls were so funny together. They were constantly playing and roaming around together. They are the best of friends. Poor little Ella needed a playmate. Jathan and I are thinking of adopting a four year old so Ella will have someone to play with on future outings ;)

The Roberts.

Dirty little honey! And the poor thing fell off of a four foot ledge and scratched her face all up :(

Chilling with daddy.

Cute little Ella.

Jathan's dads horse trailor has a little live in quarters. This is where we slept everynight. It was surprisingly very comfy! Except for Zanna squirming all over the place.

The little ones loved crawling all over the four wheelers.

Excuse me??

So last night Jathan and I are sitting on the couch conversing while watching one of our favorite shows when Jathan tells me "You are the weirdest person I have ever met".... What?? Is this some soft of a compliment... I sure hope so! Only somehow I just don't think it was. Ha ha!! I just have to say one thing. It is so much better to be weird than normal. Right?!? (wink)

Okay so it really wasn't that rude. I was giving him some funny hints I wanted to eat the rest of his apple sauce. I still thought it was a funny comment.

"Fold your arms"

My sweet little Zanna has learned to fold her arms during prayers. The other night I was putting her to bed and she was bawling.... she just did not want to go to her bedroom because she knew it was time for bed (usually she is really good about going down but she is teething... need I say more). Before I put her down I said fold your arms. She folded her arms and stopped crying while we said prayers. The second we said amen she started bawling again. It was so cute she knew to be quiet during prayers.

Today we were eating dinner and out of the blue she would fold her arms, bow her head and mumble a little something. It was so cute. I couldn't help but just giggle at her.

This little girl is changing, learning and growing so much. She is so fun! She can be a little pill sometimes, but wow is she fun! There are so many fun things that come with being a mother I never could have imagined before I became one.

CATCH UP!!

Well as you can clearly see it has been a very long time since I have done anything with my blog. I am sooooo bad. Ever since I have been prego I have a SERIOUS lack of motivation. I am lucky if I get my house clean.... let alone blog!!!! Can't wait until I hit twenty weeks. With my last pregnancy I had a ton of energy after that twenty week mark... what I wouldn't give for that energy now!!! Ha ha ha! Anyhow I am going to be updating things from months ago... I am planning on doing a blog book, so don't think I am crazy when you see Halloween pics in February!

Halloween

Halloween was so fun this year with my little witch!! Zanna and I were twinner witches. I made our little witch tutu's and put feather boas around our little witch hat's. She was such a cute little witch!

Jathan and his good little witch.

Rebecca and Andelyn were little witches too. Look at Rebecca's hat. It is soo cute! I secretly wanted to steel it off of her head and wear it for myself!! Ha ha!

Zanna and Andelyn were so cute running around trick or treating together. Well not exactly trick or treating. Mostly just running around. Check out Andelyn's broom. Brad made it at his shop. So talented!
We went to the trunk or treat in my parent's neighborhood. It was perfect!

Jathan and Zanna playing in the leaves after trick or treating. Zanna thought it was pretty fun!

Funny story: After we were done trick or treating I took Zanna's candy bag to see what candy I wanted to eat. Jathan looked at me and said... Merm, you can't eat all Zanna's candy. He was dead serious too!! I was like... Jathan I did not take Zanna trick or treating so she could have a whole bag of candy. I took her so I could get Halloween candy! Pretty sure my one year old does not need that much sugar!! I think she ended up getting left with a little packet of smarties. I finished off all the rest! Ha ha!
