Our time here in California is coming to a close very shortly and we are in a bit of a predicament... We move home next weekend and we have NO CLUE where we are going to be living :(
The good news is my super sweet bro Christian said we can live with him in his house until we find a place.
So if any of y'all know of any basement apartments etc.. that will be for rent end of August or beginning of September feel free to share!
THANKS!

The Garretts come to visit

Another INCREDIBLY long post:
When I was in Utah a few weeks ago Ray had told me that they (the Garretts) wanted to come visit and that they might drive out that coming weekend. I talked to Milli on the phone a few days later and it sounded like it was not going to happen. Then Thursday night Milli called and said they might drive out the next day. She called again a little later that night after checking flights and schedules and decided they would fly out early Saturday morning! THANK YOU so much for literally flying by the seat of your pants and coming to visit us! We had so much fun! While they were here we went to one of our favorite spots, Muir woods. We also went to San Francisco a few times. While in San Fran we hit up the Wharf, Pier 39, ate some yummy food at Chowders, froze our rear ends off and did some shopping. The next time we went to San Fran we took the Ferry in and went to China Town. We spent most of our time in a pearl shop and all of us ladies got pearl necklaces and earrings while Ray spent some quality time entertaining Zanna... Thanks Ray! We also went to Stinson Beach, Bodega Bay and Sausalito.

Muir Woods

Oh so strong! Jathan will probably be upset I added this one... but how could I not?

Stinson Beach

Golden Gate
This was the most common picture taken on the trip. Girls will be girls I guess!

Everyone getting ready for sleep on my living room floor! Awe cute!

San Francisco

A sweet mask a guy made out of leather. Jathan's eyes look super rad in this pic. It is almost like he is one with the wolf... ha ha! Does this remind you of the twilight books?? The indian turned warewolf! ;)

This picture kills me! We went on a little boat ride while in San Franciso. Milli was sitting next to the window where all the water was blowing in and had to cover up with a towel. What a sport!

It was FREEZING cold in San Fran. We had to buy Zanna a beenie and a whole new outfit to wear under her coat because it was so cold out. Weird crazy weather.

For some reason I could not get warm. I have three jackets on in this picture. Blue, Red and Orange.

Bodega Bay

This place was amazing. It was a beautiful, green, windey dirve along the coast. There were lots of crazy huge rocks out in the ocean and had a large hole through the middle of it. It was called "Goat Rock" It kinda reminded me of the Arches at Zion... only it was in the water...

On the drive home we stopped and took some pictures of the cows like true tourists. Jathan got some cool shots. It was such an awesome overcast day.

This is the only picture I got of China Town. These were the super nice gentlemen that sold us all of our many pearls. Pretty sure they loved us and the business we gave them.
Thank you guys again so much for coming. We had a blast!!

The famous lemon

I set Zanna on the counter while I was making lemonade and she got a hold of one of the lemons I had just cut. She pulled a GREAT sour face!

2.

3.

The funny thing is that she loved it. She just kept putting it in her mouth, then she would pull a funny face and put it back in her mouth. She sucked on that thing for a good ten minutes.

Montana

Caution: Very long post. Many pictures.
I am so thankful I was able to go to our family week at the cabin this year. We had such a great time!
Zanna and I flew to Utah which by the way, the flight went great. I nursed Zanna when we took off and she slept until we landed. Rebecca picked me up and I spent the night at her house. The next morning my dad and I drove with Corby to Montana.
My Mom & Dad, Brothers & Sisters and all my Nieces & Nephews were there. Jathan was the only one missing and we missed him greatly. Poor boy had to stay home and work~
The weather was amazing and it was absolutely beautiful! There were wild flowers everywhere as well as mosquito's, unfortunately. I really don't think I have ever seen it as beautiful as it was this summer. It was Breathtaking!
It was so fun to be at the cabin with my family. We went to the lake, AKA: "the beach" almost everyday, went on many horseback rides, watched some good movies, Played 31 until midnight, went into town and got ice cream and had shirts and hoodies made, and best of all relaxed and enjoyed each others company.
I had to take some pictures of Zanna among the wildflowers. She enjoyed plucking the flowers and putting them in her mouth.

Isn't it amazingly beautiful?! Zanna started standing without holding onto anything this trip. I was a little nervous she was going to start walking. If that would have been the case I don't think Jathan would have ever let us leave him again. He would have been devastated to miss such a big part of her life.

I love overcast days at the cabin. We had a few good storms that would blow over with in a couple of hours and then it was sunny and beautiful again. There is nothing better than being bundled up in the cabin watching the storm outside.

Zanna got to ride the horses a few times with her mommy and loved it. She was so funny. She wanted to be holding the reins when I would take her on little rides around the cabin. Her grand daddies will be so proud, she is a cowgirl in the making!

I love this picture of Zanna with my dad. It is just darling. He loves holding his grand kids and is so sweet with them. Since I have been in California for the summer I have been able to visit twice and both times my dad has seen us he gets a little emotional and sheds a few tears. He has such a sweet and tender heart. I just love him!

Isn't this cool? It is so fun to ride to the lake and swim the horses. It is such an amazing feeling. I love that my parents still do such crazy activities. They amaze me!

Some more fun pictures.

Ahhh, the beach. I have to admit I was a bit of a sissy this year and did not even get all the way in the water. What is that all about?? It just felt so good laying out. I will make up for it in August though. Don't you even worry.

All the kids had a great time at the beach as usual. They swam, caught frogs and made sand castles. Zanna was even loving the water and the sand. She crawled all over in it!

It truly was a great trip! What an amazing place to be able to go as family, build relationships and make such fun memories. I feel so lucky and am so thankful to my grandfather for the things he went through to build this great home away from home.
