More Montana

Montana
Isn't it beautiful here?
The weather has been great.
It snows, then it rains, then it's sunny, then it's overcast again.
That is one of my favorite things about the cabin.
The weather is constantly changing.

Christian took Zanna for a nice long walk from the Latimer cabin to the Thompson cabin ( we have two cabins here, one on my mom's side and one on my dad's side and they are about a half a mile apart). He got some pretty cute pictures of Zanna.

Here she is walking down the road with the three dogs. She LOVES the dogs!

Zanna has been so funny this trip. She loves to be outside and whenever she had to come inside she threw a bit of a fit. She refused to take her coat off once inside. It was like her only link to the "outside" world. It gave her hope she might be able to go out again soon. I had to take it off of her for meals and that did not make her happy AT all.

Jumping in the puddles.

This is the Thompson cabin and the sign my grandpa built. He named this area Crane Meadows. After many years the entrance posts had to be rebuilt so the sign came down for a few years and was just put back up this past labor day. I love this sign. The FT stands for Forrest Thompson, my grand pappy.

"as she walks through fields of gold"

Getting ready to go riding.

Hannah getting her chaps on. I got to go on a ride with my dad and sisters up in the hills behind the cabin. It was so fun to be able to go on a ride, so invigorating... that is not something I get to do very often anymore now that I have the chillins. Like I have probably gone three times since I have had Zanna. The weather was cold but really nice. And the ground was lightly covered with snow once we got up into the hills. It was beautiful.

My dad getting my stirrups to the right length for me. Such a sweet man!

Zanna doing tricks on the horse with Mikelle. She wanted to go on the ride with us but it was a little too long for her. So we led her around the cabin a few times and that sufficed.

October in Montana

I am currently in Montana.
Quite possibly my favorite place in this beautiful world.
I love this time of year here in Montana.
Everything has turned form green to gold, except of course all the pine trees.

Zanna drove to the cabin with my parents.
When they turned off the highway, onto the two mile road before the lane to the cabin Zanna exclaimed "The Cabin!"
How on earth did she know? Especially after being in the car for 5 hours.
She seriously has the best sense of direction.
Way better than I had at even the age of 14....

I especially love my little boy here in Montana.
All cuddled up in the cozy cabin.
Look at those beautiful
pouty lips.
I LOVE them!
He is the sweetest thing!

We have the most fabulous large sink in the laundry room.
Zanna LOVES taking baths in it.
One day when I have a home of my own I am going to have my husband install me one of these fabulous sinks.

I love that in this picture you see the mop, ironing board, rags, medicine cabinet/mirror.
I also love the face
Zanna is pulling.
Such a silly little thing!

The men, doing their manly thing.

Oh Christian, so hard core!

Mikelle looks hard core too.

The little lady playing about the pasture.
She has the time of her life up here.
She would play outside in the cold all day long if I would let her.
Funny story:
We were laying in bed this morning and Zanna was staring at the knotty pine ceiling.
She pointed at a spot on the ceiling and said "Fishy."
She saw a fishy in the ceiling, like seeing things in the clouds.
It was pretty cute.

My momma getting all suited up for her horse ride.
Such a beautiful woman!
She looks
sizzlin' in her cowgirl getup.. ;)

My cute sister Mikelle.

Zanna kissing Red.

This is pure bliss for Zanna.
Outside sitting on a
horsie.

And the men getting suited up.

My brother Christian and Evie.
He makes a pretty good
lookin' cowboy.

And my handsome daddy.
He also make a great looking cowboy.

LIFE

Yesterday...

Zanna, Troop and I went on a walk to the park.
Daddy met us there and played with us until he had to get ready for his interview.
Zanna played on the swing set.
She played to her hearts content.
Then as she was ready to go she started walking home, turned around and said bye ,bye mommy.
I said bye, bye.
She turned around again and blew me a kiss.
Then she opened the gate to the park, closed it and walked on.
Shortly after, she came back to the gate, opened it and said come on mommy!
So I came!
She is getting so independent. Too independent. Little honey!

I read Nie Nie Dialogues and cried my little eyes out.
So inspiring. So inspiring!
I love her.

Daddy came home after a long day of being away.
We put the kids to bed.
We hung out for a bit in the living room.
We snuggled on the couch as I cried.
I felt so much love for my husband and for my little ones.
I was overcome with gratitude.
Then we slow danced to John Michael Montgomery's "I love the way you love me." In front of the fire.
I LOVE that song.
We had not slow danced in a long time.
It felt so good!!

(How beautiful are his lips? Wouldn't you die to have that lip shape :) ? )

Today...

(a VERY mischievous face!)

I was putting Troop down for a nap as Zanna watched Ice Age.

I walked out of the bedroom to find Zanna gone and the door wide open.

The fence to the backyard was wide open as well... Cocoa the dog was gone.
I got a little panicky and started yelling "Zanna, Cocoa."
I heard Zanna's voice far off.
She was across the street in the neighbors back yard. YIKES!
She loves that little dog and will follow him anywhere. Too bad she knows how to open the fence.
After my shower Zanna poured the shampoo and lotion all over the tub.
I then went to the grocery store with my two little ones. YIKES!
After getting daddy off for his weekend at the deer camp with his father I put the kids down for a nap.
I too slept, even though I should have cleaned my crazy house!
When I woke up my sister Mikelle came over for a sleep over.
We talked and talked.
Zanna came into the kitchen with her diaper off... oh no!
Zanna went number two on my front rug... she has the runs... NO!!
I put Zanna to bed.
In and out of the crib she climbs.
I smell a very strong sweet fragrence.
Zanna has poured a bottle of perfume all over the rug in her room.
Where did she even get the bottle of perfume?? MIKELLE??
Her room is very potent!
FINALLY MY PRECIOUS SLEEPS!
Wow my sweet child is into everything and I am constantly clenching my teeth trying not to get too mad :) I sure do love her and her curious, creative, independent ways!
DADDY I MISS YOU! COME HOME!
(some random photos)
Oh their faces say it all in this picture.

He is all smiles these days. Love it! Love HIM!

SO happy. She LOVES to hold her little brother. She always says "hold troop brother." I don't know if he is quite as happy as she is!

Zanna always has something on her face. My make up, lotion, lipstick.... in this picture it is toothpaste. Thank heavens for spry... very kid friendly. And she wishes I would serve it to her for lunch.

My handsome little boy. All dressed up like a little man!

Today

Today was a lovely day.
I slept in next to my little boy.
Got some much needed cleaning done.
Went to my good friend Rebecca's house and did a super fun Halloween deco project.

Put the babes down for a nap and enjoyed some alone time... cleaning :)

Zanna helped (?) me with dinner.
Zanna also helped herself to my craft stuff. Nothing is safe from this child.

Enjoyed my hubby home early... no school tonight!!

(such handsome men, can't get enough of them)

Visited my Dad and bro at work.
Jathan sang Troop to sleep (at 1:30 am)

(pre singing Troop to sleep. This guy loves this mobile giggles and coo's at it all day)

Lovely.

Last Night...

Last night we put my little lady to bed. As usual after she was all done with her bottle we heard singing ( she sings loud, then soft, then loud again. Mostly Little Mermaid) and jumping on the bed. Then there was nothing... usually she starts yelling... MOMMY, MOMMY! Then about a half hour later we heard her door knob twisting and the door opening and shutting, then opening and shutting again.... oh GREAT! She can get OUT of her crib!! Then she opens the door tip toes down the hall (at this point Jathan and I are spying on her) and goes into our bedroom. We hurry and turn off all the lights and go into the bathroom to spy on her and see what she will do once out of our room. She sneaks out of our bedroom, looks around and then makes her way into the kitchen thinking she is pretty cool she is out of her room. Also a little confused about why on earth all the lights are off. Jathan jumps out of the bathroom yelling "What are you doing" and startles her real good!

Then today after her nap, instead of hearing her in her crib yell MOMMY!! She comes strutting down the hall saying "hi mommy". Oh this girl! Sure do love her. So now what?? I am not ready to take her crib front off. Guess we will just wait and see what happens!
AND FINALLY MY PRECIOUS SLEEPS!

Happy Birthday Mikelle!!!

My little sister Mikelle just turned 21 today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! And some happy news... she just opened her mission call last night and she is going to.............. San Antonio TEXAS! CONGRATS!! She leaves December 16th, right before Christmas... sad:( I love ya sister!

Zanna is TWO!!

My little lady turned two September 21st. I can hardly believe it! We started the festivities the night before by giving her a cute little rocking horse. It was a big hit! (Jathan and I are somewhat impatient so we busted her present out early!)

Here are a few photos of Troop on Zannas birthday eve. Look at those cheeks. He is chubbing right out!

Big Smiles for daddy!

The next day we went to my parents where Zanna received a gift from grandma. A Magnadoodle!!

And a few more of my little man on Zannas Birthday...

Me and my Birthday girl! This is the face you get when you tell her to say cheese ;)

And her present from Grandpa... a Mr. Potato head!! She LOVES this new toy. Keeps her entertained for a long time. Then once she leaves it and I put it all away she pulls it right back out and dumps all the fun parts everywhere. Not exactly my favorite toy... :)

LOL! I dedicate this picture to Uncle Kotah. His favorite thing it to grab your cheeks and make you do funny faces. So this one is for you!

And the end of the day. Zanna enjoying a little cartoon while holding her little bro. She is a little more into the cartoon than her brother.
We celebrated her birthday with family the following Sunday, which I will post pictures of once I can get them downloaded. (we ran out of room on our computer.... Lame-O)
